Our journey through a prenatal Trisomy 21 (Down syndrome) diagnosis and beyond

I wish it were possible to recognize at the beginning of our life’s story what an incredible journey we are truly on. If so, I would have sat down years ago and begun documenting all the ordinary and extraordinary events in this amazing life I have been blessed with. Sometimes, though, it may take just one more thing to open your eyes into the beauty of the life you have led and causes you to pause and truly count the blessings that are now so many they will never be enumerated.

If you are just joining us, please go back to September 2012 to get caught up.

Where ya from and why are ya here?

Not to be rude, but I am just curious who happens upon my random thoughts (and adorable pics!)

If you would be so kind, would you comment below?  I'd love to know where you are and how you got here :)

  7. I'm mom to another Owen--4 years old--who also rocks T21. We live in St. Paul, MN. I think the first time I found your blog was when I was compiling the list for IDSC in March for WDSD. We're also in several FB Ds groups together.

  8. Hi Jen, my name is Karen and I live in Fruit Cove FL just north of Switzerland (I love to say that!) Five months ago, I was gifted with great nephew #3 who also joined 2 great nieces - all my younger sisters grands. They all live in Ohio but I got to "meet" Rylan in February at Walt Disney World!! Yep. at 3 months old, he made his first trek to the Magic Kingdom with his Dad & Mom, brother Keegan (6) and sister Maeve (3) - what a delightful day! I found your blog via the DSAJ Facebook page. Your story is very similar to my niece Amanda's, tho she chose not to know until post-delivery. Rylan is now 5 months and rolling over! He is precious, as is your Owen (great name!). How wonderful that you have found your passion and that it is helping other families. Wishing you all the best!
